Total Health Goal Few people have total health. Total health is being
physically fit, mentally alert, and spiritually aware all rolled into
one robust person. To be healthy in mind, body and soul, we should
study, and do the needed research on the many different aspects of
health. Every facet of our health works together, helping each to be
strong and robust. We should take the needed care to stay well balanced
in all areas of health. When one is not working properly, total health
can topple down. Mind and soul work very closely together, so much
so, that there is a direct link from mind to soul.
What a man thinketh in his heart, he is. Good thoughts and
actions lead to a happy and joyous spirit. Negative and destructive
thoughts lead to a confused and frustrated spirit. Both the mind and
spirit link directly back to physical health in one way or another. Some
scientists have now discovered a direct link between stress related
factors and the development of disease. I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.
(Jeremiah 31:25 NIV) The mind when under stress, anxiety, anger,
depression, or resentment, will work against the physical body in such a
way, that over time these heavy-laden emotions can wreck havoc on total
health of mind, body, and spirit. The connection of the three aspects of
health is very important to understand if we want to achieve total
health. Come o me, all you who are weary and burdened, and
I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
(Mathew 11:28-29 NIV) Ultimately, we are responsible for what we put into
our bodies. We are responsible for what we hear and believe. And we are
responsible for our relationship with God and gaining eternal life. When
all is said done, you doctor is not going to care about your physical
health like you are. Your pastor cannot actually save your soul, he just
plants the seed in your heart, but you have to water it, and nurture it
so it will grow into a beautiful full-grown tree. We have to take control of our health in all areas
of our life. The best way to do that is to not forget about the
foundation we are to work off of according to who we are. Who’s
standards are we living by for total health? He gives strength to the weary and increases the
power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men
stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not
grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31 NIV) Heaven Ministries Copyright © 2007
