Battle of the Sexes vs. Genesis

There seems to be a battle of the sexes between certain women and men. What is this battle? Oh yes, the battle is for equal pay, equal rights, and equal this, and equal that. Essentially it is the feminist battle. Is this battle still going on? Did you know that God has already given women and men all their God-given rights to be whoever they want to be through Him?

There is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all ONE IN CHRIST JESUS.  (KJV Galatians 3:28)

If someone does not believe in creation or Jesus than it would be understandable they would fight with the world to win any and all political and societal rights. This is where feminism comes from – it is a worldly thing that has consumed the minds of those who do not believe in God or who are simply rebellious to God’s Word.  Believers should not be involved in this battle, and if they are, they are confused and mislead with the rest of society.

God made male and female equal in every aspect. Man and woman are on par with each other. God designed the relationship between man and woman where they work together as a team because it is the most beneficial. This is what marriage is supposed to be. God did not make one sex better than the other.

It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a HELPER suitable for him. (NIV Genesis 2:25)

Helper means to assist – to facilitate – to collaborate

It is not good that the man should be alone; I shall make him an HELP MEET for him. (KJV Genesis 2:25)

Help means to assist – to facilitate- to lend a hand. Meet means to gather – to assemble – to come together.

The bible did not say it is not good for man to be alone and so I will make him a bossy domineering, controlling woman to tell him what to do.

When you do not have a relationship with your Creator you do not understand “who you are” and “what your purpose in life is”. So you create division in your life to “find yourself” and become somebody worthwhile to yourself and to others. Money and status symbols become more important in your life - it becomes the only way to show yourself to others is through the use of what you do and what you have.

If you are wrapped up within societies political schemes and bureaucracies you will not understand your position as a child of God.  A child of God does not have to fight for any rights – because they have already been blessed with the freedom to be “who they are”.

Without God we can only be what we can be, or only what we strive to be. That might be a feminist woman who strives to be more powerful than her counterpart. If she wins this battle she feels better about herself. Or it could be a man who believes that a woman’s place is in the home making babies and cooking. This kind of attitude can underestimate a woman’s worth in her community as well as in the home.

The truth is God has already blessed woman to be a good mother instinctively but she is rebelling against her role. God has already blessed man to be the man of his home and protect his family but he is rebelling against his role. This happens because they are children of the world rather than of God. If you accept a relationship with your Creator and put Him first on your agenda list, there would be NO battle. There would be NO battle in marriage either!

The battle to be better than a man or woman, or to be equal to a man or woman is not a part of the Godly woman or man’s life. This is something the world has concocted because of fear of lack and the lack of faith. When a feminist woman believes she has to do and be all the things a man is she leaves her positions and duties as a woman in lack. Therefore, she would be better off not getting married or having children because, frankly that is not very fair to anyone else that she may be interconnected with.

Many people have evolved with the ways of society and perceive the roles of man and woman has stereotypical, but that’s the whole point. God created and designed the sexes to do best and to be the most beneficial in their given roles. When we try and change what God has already established it causes problems in marriage, families, and society in general.

Remember, to all those who have put their trust and faith in Jesus Christ,

we are all ONE IN CHRIST.
